Mariko Chanturia is a Georgian curator and artist working in different mediums: Installation, Video art and Performance.
Mariko often works together as an Artistic duo with Lasha Kabanashvili. Their current work reflects on contemporary consumer society; capitalist discourse, scientific discourse and their relations with each other; digital age and post-humanism; queer theory and cyberfeminism; contemporary myths and rituals based on western discourses.
They are interested in postmodern narrative and their work is mainly based on the deconstruction of binary principles; trying to develop non-binary multimedia language.
